Self-hosting (coming soon)
Run the ivyNote sync service on your own server. Self-hosting is coming soon; join the waitlist.
Coming soon. Self-hosting is being polished. Join the waitlist and we will email you as soon as it opens.
Self-hosting is for people, teams and companies who want their data entirely on their own servers.
What you will get
- One program, ready to go: the sync service, web app and admin console in one package, started with a single Docker command.
- Light storage: data in SQLite; attachments on local disk or S3-compatible object storage.
- The same features as ivyNote Cloud: sync, history, sharing, the media library, Ask your notes (AI), MCP and content push.
- An admin console: users and invitations, registration, mail (SMTP), attachment storage, AI services and feature switches.
- The same encryption: you hold the master key and data on the server is always ciphertext; see Security.
- Works with every client: in the desktop app choose Connect to a server and enter your address.
Until then
- To sync devices right away, use ivyNote Cloud. Moving to your own server later is an export followed by an import; see Import and export.
- On a single computer, start with an account-free local library.
